Beautiful children ah! We celebrated the Year of the Ox with the local FCC group. What made this extra special was having our niece Sonya and Brother Dean joining us. I wish David was looking up because he looked sooo adorable in his hat. The hightlights for him were the chinese noodles and then the chinese noodles; a heaping plate full. The girls participated in the lion dance/parade, made paper lanterns, stood in line for an incredibly long time and got some balloon animals, and ran around outside playing tag. It was fun and I am glad to have a bit of culture. Olivia (and Obama) are born in the year of the Ox. This is her year to turn 12! She is wearing my shirt by the way! Maya is wearing an outfit that Gramma Yvonne gave us from India, Davids is from Thailand, Sonya and Frida in traditional Chinese Dresses and Dean ,the fashionista, is representing the Canadian style.

You should also have mentioned that David's hat is from Turpan, way in the west of China, bought when I was closer to Olivia's age than the age I am now.
