Annual April migration to Carlsbad Beach. Colder then normal and we missed our campsite with the oceanview. But the kids had so much fun in the sand and the water. It is amazing how many hours they spend playing in these two elements. I enjoyed a few hours of peaceful lounge chiar reading and Luke was content watching the kids and enjoying the view. This is the first year David really liked it. I think the hotel helped with this and all the sand toys I bought him. He loved having a wagon full. Olivia enjoyed boogie boarding in her wet suit (wish I had taken a photo of that). And as you can see in the photos, Philly, Olivia, and Maya made their usual tide baracade with sand and seaweed. This one was a good one too.
Millie was with us this year which provided some logistically challenges but she put up with a lot of kennel time while we were at the beach. So as a reward we took her to a dog beach on the way home. The kids are getting big! If any family wants to join us next year let us know by october and we will try and get campsites this time.
