The girls participate in an organization called Roots and Shoots. It is a kids club that focuses on environmental issues and is governed by the kids. The group went to the site of a consevation group that studies endangered animals and environmental issues in connection with the Wild Animal Park. The kids were able to use the sensor/guns that the scientist use to track tagged frogs in the wild. They used stuffed animal frogs and each group worked on finding a few frogs. It was really cool. Olivia and Maya were very interesed in this and enjoyed it. Frida had fun most of the time but didn't see the use in using these contraptions to find stuffed frogs. She immediately found two real ducks resting under a tree and held the sensor under my orders for a photo.
All three girls interacted with the scientist and asked great questions and had great comments. Void Frida whipping around in the swivel chairs too much and asking many questions about death it was a great fieldtrip.
He is a great student for such a young age!
