We went on our second yoga retreat to Palm Springs again this year. It was such a great get-away for O and I. There were some differences though. When we got to the resort we were sooo happy to get out of the car, a little silly and tired. Well Olivia was so hyper. Instead of walking she was cartwheeling and jumping. I skipped the meeting because of this energy and let her do whatever she wanted. She loves hotel rooms and immediately unpacked and got organized, just like her daddy. Then she wanted to watch some tv. So I went out to our patio and enjoyed some peace, quiet and heat with a glass of champagn while she lounged. I came in to find her jumping from bed to bed. She set up the camera on timer and was trying to catch a photo of herself mid-air! So funny and eventually sucessful. We so loved the classes. I loved her energy and so admired her dedication. During yoga classes there are some hard poses and challenging mental moments, and she stays with it even when it is hard. I so admire that she, at 11, has that focus and can see the good in challenges. She can also do some awesome poses!
